Alignment. That’s the word that keeps coming up in this season of my life. It’s not just about moving forward—it’s about moving with intention, ensuring that my steps are in sync with what God is calling me to do. And lately, I’ve been reflecting on what it truly takes to stay in alignment. One thing is clear: alignment requires upkeep.

The Cost of Neglect

I recently had to get some dental work done, and it hit me—neglect is always more expensive than upkeep. And not just with our health, but in every area of our lives. We tend to put things off whether for the immediate cost, the discomfort, or just the weight of the responsibility. But the reality? What we avoid now will demand more from us later. Whether it’s our peace, healing, relationships, or even our faith—staying aligned means committing to the necessary work before things fall apart.

The Power of Discipline
That same mindset carried into my recent 48-hour fast. What started as a 24- hour challenge turned into a revelation: we don’t need as much as we think we do. Sometimes, we hold on to things—comforts, habits, even mindsets—because we believe we can’t function without them. But fasting reminded me that true strength comes in surrender. When we strip away distractions, we create space for clarity, peace, and deeper alignment with God.

Standing Firm in the Journey
This season isn’t just about moving—it’s about standing firm. Life will always try to push us off course. Delays, obstacles, even our own doubts can make us question if we’re really where we need to be. But I’ve learned that sometimes, alignment isn’t about acceleration—it’s about endurance. Protecting what God has already given, guarding our healing, and trusting that His timing is never off.
So whether you’re in a season of rebuilding, refining, or waiting—stay aligned. Stay committed to the upkeep. Stay disciplined in your pursuit of God’s presence. Stand firm in the vision He’s given you.
Because what’s ahead? It’s worth the preparation.
